If you feel warm sun, soft sand and salt breeze in the middle of February and forget about freezing snow – that means, you hear reggae!
“My Jamaican Guy” was the third single to Grace Jones’ 1982 album. The track showcased Caribbean music-inspired reggae/dub sound. The music video for “My Jamaican Guy” features Jones performing the song on stage, kissing her own image, and hugging her “Jamaican guy”. Jones has a strong personality, she is a rebel. This is what I wanted to express through my posters. Jones dressed in elaborate costumes and masks something that I wanted to pass through my whimsical image.
