With my entry I wanted to pay tribute to one of the ska/reggae pioneers, namely Desmond Dekker. Coming up with such international hits as the "Israelites" or "You can get it if you really want", I believe The Aces, sporting Dekker as its singer, has laid the groundwork for transporting ska music beyond the borders of Jamaica.
