ENTRY PERIOD: The ENTRY PERIOD of the 9th International Reggae Poster Contest 2024 begins on November 1, 2023 (12am EST time) and closes on March 10, 2024 (12am EST time).

1. Register

You must Register to participate in the 9th International Reggae Poster Contest.

To qualify, your submission must confirm the following specific Contest Rules:

  • Designs submitted to the contest must be original artworks that were previously unpublished.
    The designs must consist entirely of the authors’ own work and must not include any copyrighted material.
  • All information should be completed in English along with a title and a brief description of the poster/s you are submitting.
  • On the Submission form include your complete and accurate information, including your e-mail address, your name, your poster’s title, and poster’s description.
  • IMPORTANT! Please name your poster file as the example: First name-Last name_poster-title. Those who will not be named as requested will be disqualified.

 

2. Download IRPC Logo

You don’t have to use our Reggae Hall of Fame Logo. However, here is a link to download a PDF file if you wish to use it. The file can be opened in Illustrator or Photoshop. Download logo here.

 

3. Technical requirements

Participation in the 9th International Reggae Poster Contest 2024 (IRPC) constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Intl. Reggae Poster Contest, which is final and binding. Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein in a timely manner.

 

4. Entry specifications

– Portrait format poster addressing the creative brief. Designs must be presented in vertical format. Landscape (horizontal) format entries will not be considered valid for the competition.

– Posters may be designed by a single author or by a team.

– Participants may submit up to 6 different posters.

– Designs must be presented in vertical format. Landscape (horizontal) format entries will not be considered valid for the competition.

– Entries must be submitted as JPG files of 700×980 pixels at a resolution of 72DPI, saved in RGB colour space. File Formats Accepted: JPEG or PNG.
The file should not exceed the 2mb.
– If you are selected, we will ask you to send us by email a high-resolution file. Therefore, your original file should be of 5906×8268 pixels at a resolution of 300DPI, saved in CMYK colour space (corresponding to 50×70 cm in printed size).

 

5. Number of Posters

Artists/Designers are allowed to submit up to 6 different posters.
IRPC 2024 reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to restrict participation in the Contest to any person at any time for any reason and/or to disqualify any entry at any time for any reason.
To “My Account” page you can view your submissions, delete and re-upload, or upload more.

 

6. Original unpublished work

  • Each entry must be an original unpublished work that you have created that does not include material in which a third party has intellectual property rights.
  • Each Entry must not, in the sole discretion of the Intl. Reggae Poster Contest, be obscene, indecent, offensive, violent, hateful, or libellous, or contain any other content otherwise inconsistent with the purposes of the Reggae Poster Contest 2024 as described in these Official Rules and related materials.

 

7. Do NOT publish your submitted poster art until after the winners are announced

  • In case we find your work published on any social media or your portfolio your entry will be disqualified immediately.

 

8. We do not accept promotional or advertising posters

  • Promotional or advertising posters will not be accepted.
