It is both shocking and overwhelming that we are still facing human trafficking today. Even the most modern technologies cannot eradicate human lust. It is important to remember that the human being is not only the body but also the soul. We are not a thing whose value can be quantified and “blocked” as a commodity. Therefore, I decided to display a vulnerable human body placed in cash register drawer. Man is not a currency.
Stop Human Trafficking
The trajectory before trafficking is not restricted, but the trajectory after trafficking has become regular and restricted because of the traffickers.
This poster shows the suffering of people sold to others and deprived of their future.
The work expresses the meaning of replacement by leaking mouth. In the past, some institutions made profits by buying and selling people. This poster represents a profit from buying and selling people.
I took my 8-year-old daughter Sitare as a model. He got into the suitcase. I put information about human trafficking in the poster instead of the suitcase.
Shadow after dark
to ask for help don`t be ashamed
Shadow after dark
it`s a crazy world we`re living in, open your eyes
The only thing that comes to my mind when I come across the term “human trafficking”, is the heartbreaking tragedy of modern slavery. Just imagining the innocent children in evil hands like puppets shrinks my heart and I wanted to demonstrate how ugly this obnoxious act can be. STOP IT PLEASE!
The poster portrays child trafficking. Children are put in a vending machine as a metaphor for buying a candy, an everyday activity for a child. This is why the poster presents the kids at a very low cost, to show how easy it is to buy a child. The color palette is composed of strong dramatic colors to enhance the poster’s concept and to put an emphasis on the terror that is involved with this horrible act.
