Mehdi Saeedi is an internationally known artist and designer based in Philadelphia who was born and raised in Tehran. The design vision of Saeedi is influenced by his focus on contemplation of Eastern aesthetics, heritage, and tradition.
He uses his experience in graphic design, Persian calligraphy, type, and typography to transform Farsi letters into different forms and shapes, rendering unique conceptions in graphic design.
Saeedi’s works have been exhibited in numerous well-known exhibitions, Biennials, and Triennials around the world. He has attended numerous local and international competitions as a jury member and also as a speaker. In 2013, he also founded “First International Exhibition of Type Design”, as part of (Silver Cypress) The 3rd Biennial of Iranian Graphic Designers Society.
