We are excited to announce also that our first exhibition for 2016 will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus. This exhibition will showcase 80 posters from the 2015 collection.

Big Thanks to Graphic Stories Cyprus for the realization of this exhibition and to all designers and jurors that participated in the 4th Intl. Reggae Poster Contest 2015 !!

In the wake of the 1st successful Visual Communication Designers’ Meeting, Graphic Stories Cyprus continue actively for achieving the objectives and the goals that were set from the beginning by organising the Graphic Stories Cyprus 2016.

The creative weekend starts on Friday, the 26th of February with the inauguration of the exhibition of the International Reggae Poster Contest that includes 80 posters and will be hosted for the second time on the island, on the ground floor of the newspaper “Politis”. The yearly competition involves designers from all over the world including Cyprus. The competition aims to promote Reggae music and support the Alpha Boys School. The program includes a special lecture by Cypriot Dub Poet and Associate Professor at the Communications Department of the University of Nicosia, Haji Mike, entitled “Journey – Reggae – Jamaica – United Kingdom – Cyprus”. The exhibition will be accompanied by a Reggae party with the participation of Roots Crew Sound System. The Roots Crew Sound System, influenced by the underground Reggae music scene sound systems of the 90 in London, promote this culture of music on the island since 2000. The main feature is the presentation of music in a unique way through the handmade audio system following this tradition. The inauguration on the 26th of February and the party will be broadcast live from the site Cyprus Dub Community Radio (audio and video).
