Despite overcast skies, the inaugural festivities of Caribe Arts Fest were held on Saturday, January 22nd at Griffing Park in North Miami. A true family-friendly event. The day was filled with over 30 artisans who represented the Caribbean and South American region with creative arts and accessories.
Over 500 residents came out to enjoy the pop exhibits of the 28th Art of Reggae and Shadows After Dark of the International Reggae Poster Contest, curated by Maria Papaefstathiou and Copperbridge Foundation, based in North Miami.
Live performances were provided by Grammy-nominated and international artists, Boukman Eksperyans, Gio Betta, and Willie Stewart. The day was a success and we express gratitude to our sponsors of the event, MOCA, VP Records, and the North Miami CRA.
The 28th Art of Reggae exhibited 42 randomly selected posters of the 7th Intl Reggae Poster Contest 2020 and Shadows After Dark – International Poster Competition on Human Trafficking 36 randomly selected posters.
